Lehigh Valley Portrait Photographer | James

I found myself in the basement of a dim-lit building for James' senior session, not quite knowing exactly what to expect for this shoot. After all, I am a natural light photographer in the Lehigh Valley, so it's a special circumstance if I agree to shoot indoors, especially in dark areas that lack natural lighting! But, James was one-of-a-kind, and he didn't originally plan to get his senior portraits done. I had been looking to broaden my horizons in the realm of photography, so it only made sense that we put our heads together and come up with a plan to document the milestones of his high school career.

While that scene might have sounded like the makings of a horror film, it actually led me into a surprisingly well-lit bowling alley, equipped with vibrant colors and upbeat music! The atmosphere was lively, and even for a warm spring day, the place was busy with people throwing heavy bowling balls down the alley, exuberantly cheering when the pins made a loud crash as they fell from the ball strike.

James is a quiet guy, but he is an excellent bowler and definitely warms up once you get him on the subject of something familiar to him (like bowling!). His attention to detail while setting up before a play is an art form. It was so interesting watching him play, and it was such a neat experience documenting his every move in action! This was definitely a senior session for the books. Congrats James on your high school graduation and we wish you the best of luck at Bloomsburg University!
